Miracles Still Happen !!!

Today a man from Northern California brought by a painting he bought for a dollar.  Realistically this painting can be sold for $8,500.00.

Two weeks ago a visit to a charity thrift store yielded a painting for $3.50.  In a proper resale environment, it will sell for approximately $200.00.

An American Indian Zuni dough bowl was purchased for $35, expediently sold for $1,500 following $150 cost for professional conservation.  It then sold again to a proper pottery collector for $3,000.

Of the three items, the $1 painting could be sold for the most impressive money as it was not only by a prominent maker, but it was qualitatively one of the artist’s most desirable works of art.  Only part of the battle is to achieve an example by a recognized artist.  A stronger increment is capturing an example of the artist’s best work.  Also, the $1 painting will be sold in a retail arena versus to a dealer who then sold it to an end user.
