Vincent Mirabel’s painting
Ceremonial Sunset Dance, 1939

Out of 189 lots of American Indian as well as First People’s flat art, 87% were rehomed. Inquiries regarding these artworks came from a total of 16 different countries. Eight of these artworks received bids of $3,000 up to $10,000.
Vincent Mirabel‘s painting illustrated above, a rare and decided complex composition received the most aggressive bidding at $10,000 plus the buyer’s commission of 25%.

Clearly flat art by artists with these heritages are upward trending for art collectors both within and beyond the shores of the USA.

Prices in excess of $10,000 achieved by many indigenous AI artists are NOT a rarity in formal bricks and mortar galleries, plus on online galleries such as SavvyCollector.com
